| Haha, inspired by my school.
Swine Flu Lou
Prologue: With recent news of Swine Flu hitting Louise’s area, her school have taken all reasonable precautions. How ever, when Gwen’s little brother, Mark gets it. Everyone in the school freaks out and stays away from poor Gwen. Will swine flu stop?
Summer was over, and it was my first day back. “Okay, you’ve all heard of Swine Flu?” Mrs. O’Brien asked calmly. A few hands shot up. “Good, well our school has taken the best precautions possible. We have a bin down by the sink, the recently installed sink,” she paused, “we also have hand sanitizer and signs around the school. It will be okay,” she looked down at the worried faces of fifth class. I put my hand up high. “Mrs, what happens if the school has to close down, just like all the others?” Mrs. O’Brien put on a reasonably convincing smile “We won’t have to close it down… ha-ha,” she quickly returned to her desk. “Hello Gwen,” I trotted over to her, she was sitting on the bench. When she looked up at me, I could see the redness of her cheeks, the wetness of her face and the fact that she was alone. “Were you crying?” I sat down beside her nibbling at my sandwich. She nodded, “Mark has Swine Flu, and now everyone is running away from me…” she dropped her head and cried. I, unable to judge the situation went off to play with another friend of mine, Sara. “JUST RUN AWAY!” Gwen screeched as I left. I couldn’t do anything to fix the situation, or at least anything obvious enough. I played my favourite clap games with Sara for the next ten minutes until it caught my attention that Gwen was being led into the school. “Sorry Sara…” I ran up to the steps but it was too late she had already gone in. I asked the assistant if I could go to the toilet, I needed to. As I entered the bathroom, I looked under all of the doors to make sure they were free. As I passed the toilet for disabled children I noticed two pairs of legs, Gwen’s and Miss Lavender, the teacher on duty.

| I like it, but it's a bit short, unless the rest of the story is gonna be long. | |
