Ferns boots crunched against the snow that was falling onto the ground. She smiled, and a flake landed on her fingertip. Suddenly she was hit by a snowball in the back of the coat. She span around, expecting someone to be there, but nobody was.
Even though it was snowing, she was walking to school. She was in the park which she would've normally ridden through on her bike. Through the fence she could see the little kids playing on snow covered play grounds, their cheeks pink, their faces lit up with glee.
She smiled and headed through the shortcut though the trees to school.

Reema called out a goodbye to her father as she stepped out of the warm car and into the cold air outside. The wind was picking up and the snow was whirling above her head. Reema darted through the blinding whiteness and slammed into the great double door of the school. So immediate was the change in temperature and atmosphere, that Reema stood their, in the school hallway, breathing in and out, blinking for a full thrirty seconds before she remembered where she was. She looked around the empty hallway and stamped her foot.
Darn! I'm late again!

Fern's hair was dripping. She flicked it out of her face and yanked her coat off. Running, she slipped into another girl that was cursing.

"Damn!" Sara could feel her wellies slipping as she landed on the cold ground. Trying to hold back the tears, she covered her face with her schoolbag and slowly tried to get up.

The next thing Fern remembered was looking up at the celing. "Er, ow?" she muttered.

Sara struggled up. Wiping the last tear from her eye she slowly walked to her locker and took of her rain jacket and replaced her wellies with small slip-on shoes.

Fern clodded over to her locker, and a girl that looked like she had been crying was slipping on some shoes in the locker next to hers. "You okay?" Fern asked worriedly.

"Yeah, I just slipped is all," not once did she look over to the other person.

Fern wanted to hug the girl badly, but instead she handed her a small bar of chocolate, pulled off her own jacket, changed her shoes and slipped away.

"You didn't need to give me that," she handed back the chocolate bar "I'm Sara, what year are you in?"

"Yr. 8," she laughed. "You?"

Age: 12
Looks: Staright Ginger Hair , Green eyes.
Personality: Kind and happy.

Faith walked up to the two girls. "Hey , Fern !" she called , she saw the new girl , "Hi , who are you ??"

Fern smiled. "This is Sara. Sara, meet Faith, my best friend!"

Other: Ellie is still a frog.

Rachael saw a small group of girls up the corridor. She walked over to them. "Hi! I'm Rachael!" She grinned.

"Hey, Rachael!" Rhianna called, walking over.

"Hey!" Rachael walked up to her friend and hugged her. "How are you? It's freezing, isn't it?"

"Where's a heater-upperer when you need one?" Rhianna agreed.

Rachael laughed. "In the classrooms, c'mon. We're late anyway."

"To the heater-upperers!" Rhianna exclaimed.

Rachael giggled, fishing her pencilcase and her art folder out of her locker.

"Art folder, art folder." Rhianna mumbled, searching in her locker. Bang. "Ow, found it."

"That's good." Rachael shoved her bag into her locker, and closed it. " Awh man.." She said with a sigh. "I've closed my sleeve in my locker door again.."

Rhianna rolled her eyes and grabbed her pencilcase.
